The PERFECT Wedding Venue
Jen and Melissa got married on Wednesday August 25, 2021 at the stunning Compass Rose Suites in Milford, Ontario in Prince Edward County. The venue is nestled on 100 acres of land, and has the capacity to host both small and large sized events. This venue was a photographers dream! It offered a variety of photography locations: a 4 bedroom farm house that was designed and built by an architect and former owner, a glass greenhouse with tropical plants and antique couches, three different ceremony locations, an open air barn with indoor and outdoor seating, a 10-acre field bordered by mature trees where a group of wild turkeys roamed, a treelined street, and multiple large lush gardens around the property. Most of these locations are walking distance from each other, making it easy to move between locations without sacrificing time. Of the two photography locations that were farther away, the Compass Rose Suites owner, Cameron, generously provided us with golf cart to drive to the locations. Having a venue where a couple doesn’t have to leave the property to do their portraits, or get a variety of backdrops for their images is a game changer for a couple on their wedding day!
The location alone would make me want to photograph here again-and-again, but what makes this venue the best place for a wedding, for photographers and couples alike, are the incredible vendors that work together like a well-oiled machine. They are knowledgable about the venue and offer suggestions, they are attentive and accommodating of photographers, the couple and their guests, and they are super laid back, all while paying close attention to detail to ensure the event runs smoothly. I would love to work alongside these vendors again:
